Botanical Illustrated Platter

$85.00

This handbuilt botanical platter is a one of a kind piece that marries form and function. Hand-painted, this platter is inspired by an old botanical print from the 1800's, captured on a stoneware ceramic plate. Approximately 10 inches across and 5 inches wide, it is a medium sized plate that can serve food, act as a tray for small items, and be prominently displayed as decor when not doing either of those two things!

It is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe! Top rack recommended in the dishwasher.

This platter was built using a combined method of slab building and coiling, before being painted with colored slips. It was fired, glazed with a transparent food safe glaze, and then fired again.
